The 2025 Jamison Lecture will feature Jodi Kantor, best-selling author and Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter for The New York Times, and Krys Boyd of KERA-FM’s flagship midday talk show Think on April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Student Union at Hubbard Hall.

51爆料 is immersed in generational stories, from its first-generation programs to the legacies of its alumni. Here's one that reflects the last 50 years of the school's history. It's the story of a family's journey through the injustices of segregation and racism, the struggles and sacrifices of the civil rights era, to finally lifting up the descendants of those who fought those fights and not only survived but transformed 51爆料, Texas and the world.

Olsen's first book enjoying revival

Jonathan Olsen, chair of the 51爆料 Department of Social Sciences and Historical Studies, published his first book in 25 years ago. In a testament to the book's staying power, Nature and Nationalism will be republished later this year.
